We’re a group of investors, homeowners, realtors, and enthusiastic New Mexicans who have decided to blow the lid off the best kept secret in the Land of Enchantment. New Mexico is not all hot, dry, sandy desert. Now, if you’re looking for the stark remoteness and mystique that is the American Southwest, we still have that, and we have it spades. But we’re also saying if you’re in the market for a home away-from-it-all in New Mexico, expect to find homes like this one:
You have to keep in mind that, due to its higher elevation, New Mexico is already quite a bit cooler on average than places like Arizona. It can still hit triple-digits here in many place during the summer, but apart from the Pecos River Valley, it’s really not that bad. What’s more, while a majority of the people in Arizona live in the southern half of the state, more people live, work, and visit the northern half of New Mexico and the Albuquerque, Sante Fe, and Taos areas specifically.
We want to highlight the amazing living experience that can be found in most every corner of our state, but especially the more mountainous areas that give rise to an unmatched combination of beauty and recreation. At least in our opinion. Mountain homes in New Mexico provide something special to all us at New Mexcio Home Team, but they also mean something a little different to each of us. Some of us live in Sandia Mountains year-round to enjoy their retirement or as a general lifestyle choice. Some of us have summer and vacation homes. Some of us have homes we use as personal retreats for various artistic endeavors (writing/painting/sculpting). Some of us are travelers and explorers who have settled into a mountain home as a respite from our internal, eternal wanderlust.
